This strategic move aligns with the evolving landscape of the European car market, where the allure of SUVs is on the rise, fueled in part by the growing popularity of electric and hybrid powertrains. Goodyear anticipates a robust compound annual growth rate of 5.5% in the SUV market from 2022 to 2027, prompting a dedicated focus on sizes 19 inches and above for the revamped Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 range.

A noteworthy feature of this expansion is that more than 30% of the incoming tire variations will showcase Goodyear’s cutting-edge SoundComfort and SealTech technologies. SoundComfort is ingeniously designed to hush road noise, promising a smoother and quieter driving experience. Particularly significant for electric vehicles (EVs), this enhancement aligns with the growing trend towards quieter rides. Complementing this, SealTech steps in with an impressive ability to autonomously seal tread punctures up to 5mm in diameter, offering an added layer of convenience for drivers.

Goodyear emphasizes that all the new sizes are meticulously crafted, ensuring that drivers can confidently select the perfect tires for their vehicles, regardless of the underlying powertrain.
