NASHVILLE — In a significant move, Hankook Tire & Technology Co. Ltd. has sealed an original equipment fitment agreement with Hino Trucks and Hino Canada. The renowned medium-duty truck manufacturer has opted for Hankook’s cutting-edge TBR (Truck and Bus Radial) products to outfit its truck lineup across the United States and Canada.
Hino Trucks in the U.S. and Canada will use Hankook’s AH37 and DL11 tires in their L Series models. Haesik Lee, Hankook’s Director of Truck and Bus Marketing, is confident in this partnership, stating, “As Hino sets the standard in global trucking, our tire selection for their models reaffirms our leadership in TBR products.”
The AH37 regional-haul truck tire and DL11 regional long-haul truck tire, designed for modern fleets, prioritize durability, fuel efficiency, and tread longevity. Hino’s L Series, introduced four years ago, has gained industry acclaim, serving applications from 23,000 to 33,000 pounds.
Designed for the L6 and L7 models, Hankook’s AH37 regional truck tire features structural enhancements to minimize rolling resistance, enhancing fuel efficiency. Additionally, the tire incorporates 3D sipe technology, providing exceptional traction, extended mileage, and improved tread wear.
The AH37 and DL11 tires are both SmartWay verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, ensuring their low rolling resistance. This certification translates to cost savings and reduced emissions for regional and long-haul trucking operations.
